National Bureau of Statistics: Total furniture retail sales from January to April was 44.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%

According to the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics on May 17, from January to April, the total furniture retail sales was 44.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.5%; the total retail sales of building and decoration materials was 50.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.6%. In April, the total furniture retail sales was 11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.2%; the total retail sales of building and decoration materials was 12.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%. Compared with the data in March, the total furniture retail sales in April decreased by 9.1% month-on-month; the total retail sales of building and decoration materials decreased by 18.2% month-on-month.

China's furniture exports increased by 20.4% year-on-year in January-April

According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs on May 9, in the first four months of this year, the export of furniture and its parts increased by 20.4% year-on-year to 168.55 billion yuan; the export value of lamps/lighting devices and their parts was 94.27 billion yuan, an increase of 8.9% year-on-year; the export value of ceramic products was 55.69 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2%. In April alone, the export value of furniture and its parts was 44.44 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1% and a month-on-month increase of 12.6%; the export value of ceramic products was 13.01 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 8.7%; the export value of lamps/lighting devices and their parts was 24.77 billion yuan, a month-on-month increase of 35.1%.
